- What is Meitetsu Web Reservation Service?

This service lets you purchase a first class car ticket (μ-ticket) from a device such as a smartphone and ride in first class. You need a train ticket (separate from the First Class Car Ticket) to board the train.
- What is a First Class Car Ticket?

A First class car ticket is required when you ride First class cars on the "μ-SKY Limited Express" and on other trains including certain "Limited Express" trains. A first class car ticket purchased via the Meitetsu Web Reservation Service is called a "Web first class car ticket".
About Member Registration
- Can anyone register to be a member?

Anyone can register to be a member if they have a smartphone etc. that can access the internet, and a credit card that can be used to make the payment.
- When can I register to be a member?

You can register between the hours of 5:10 a.m. and 12:15 a.m. the next day.
- Is an enrollment fee and/or annual feel required to register as a member?

- What is the premium member service?

The premium member service is for members that use tickets for a certain number of seats (30 or more seats) in a month.
Those who have boarded with tickets for 30 or more seats in a month from the 21st day of the previous month to the 20th day of the current month are eligible to purchase μ-tickets up to one month + 10 days in advance as "premium members", from the first day of the next month to the last day of that month.
- What is "Points linking"?

By linking a Meitetsu μ's ID or manaca ID registered as a member in the Meitetsu μ's Points Service from the Meitetsu Web Reservation Service screen, you can use your Meitetsu μ's Points to purchase Web first class car tickets.
- What happens if I end Points linking?

- Can I change my registered "Login ID (E-mail address)" ?

- Can I change my registered credit card?

- Is there a period of validity from when member registration is complete?

No, there is no period of validity from when registration is complete. However, if you have not logged in for 1 year from your last login date, your membership will be automatically canceled.
- Can I change my name, zip code, etc.?

- What should I do if my credit card has expired?

- Can the IC card "manaca", a debit card, or a prepaid card be used to make a payment?

- I registered my e-mail address, but have not received an e-mail so that I can register as a member. What should I do?

The e-mail containing the procedure for member registration will be sent from reservation@meitetsu.co.jp. Depending on the e-mail settings, the sent e-mail may be determined as junk mail or the receiving of this e-mail may be blocked. Please configure your settings in advance so that you can receive an e-mail from the above e-mail address.
- Can I register as a member via phone, mail, or ticket window?

No, we do not accept member registration via phone, mail, or ticket window. Member registration is something that must be done via the customer operating their own smartphone etc.
Purchase
- How many days before the date of travel can I purchase a ticket?
-
You can purchase a ticket starting from 5:10 a.m., a month prior to your date of travel.
Premium members are eligible to purchase tickets 10 days earlier than usual (which is normally one month in advance).
[Example] On April 30, Web first class car tickets can be purchased for dates up until May 30 (one month in advance), but premium members can purchase tickets for dates up until June 9 (an additional 10 days in advance).
- How many minutes before the train departure time is the latest possible time to purchase a ticket?

You can purchase a ticket up until 1 minute before the train departure time displayed on the timetable.
Transfer μ-tickets can be purchased up until one minute prior to the departure time of the first train.
- In the case that train delays have caused the train I want to ride to be delayed, can I purchase a ticket even if it is past the original train departure time?

No, you cannot.
- Tickets for how many persons can I purchase at once?

Tickets can be purchased for a maximum of eight persons at one time, or a maximum of 10 days for one person when purchasing tickets for multiple days.
- Can I select my desired seat?

Yes, you can select your desired seat from "Select from Seating Chart".
- Multiple people will be using the tickets. Therefore, would it be possible to select seats in multiple train cars?

No, you cannot.
- Can I purchase a train ticket together with another ticket?

No, you cannot.
- Can I purchase a transfer μ-ticket?

Transfer μ-tickets can be purchased up until one minute prior to the departure time of the first train.
- When purchasing a transfer μ-ticket, can I choose a transfer train other than the displayed train?

If there are other candidates for the second train with a transfer time between 4 and 60 minutes at the transfer station, you can press "Display other candidates" to select another second train from the list.

For connecting trains having a transfer time of less than 4 minutes, they may be displayed as candidates after taking into consideration the layout and circumstances of the transfer station.
- What is a "purchase for multiple days"?

This refers to purchasing tickets for up to 10 days of the same train seat on the same type of day (weekday or weekend/holiday) at a time. A multiple-day ticket can only be purchased for one person at a time.
- Can I check my purchase history?

Yes, you can. Members can check from "Check, Change, or Refund Your Purchase" on the My Page and guest users can check from "Check, Change, or Refund Your Purchase" on the Top Menu.
- I want to make an additional purchase. What should I do?

Make a new purchase for the additional number of tickets that you require.
- Is it necessary to redeem the Web first class car ticket that I purchased via the Meitetsu Web Reservation Service at the ticket window?

No, you do not need to redeem the ticket.
- Can Meitetsu Web Reservation Service be used 24 hours a day?

You can use Meitetsu Web Reservation Service between the hours of 5:10 a.m. and 12:15 a.m. the next day.
- Is it possible to set an often used section or time of day in advance?

- I made a purchase, but did not receive a confirmation e-mail. What should I do?

- When will the fees applied to my credit card be withdrawn from my bank account?

- There is no train that runs directly from Central Japan International Airport Station to Toyohashi Station and I want to transfer at Jingū-mae Station to a first class car. How do I buy such a ticket?

- One ticket is valid for two boardings.
- Can I freely choose the transfer stations of a transfer μ-ticket?

The transfer stations of a transfer μ-ticket are determined by the travel zone and cannot be freely chosen. Select the train to use from the displayed candidates.
- How long is the transfer time at the transfer station of a transfer μ-ticket?

The transfer time at the transfer station must be between 4 minutes to 60 minutes.
Furthermore, for connecting trains having a transfer time of less than 4 minutes, they may be displayed as candidates after taking into consideration the layout and circumstances of the transfer station.
- I want to reserve a First class car seat for a child. What should I do?

To reserve a First class car seat for a child 5 years old or younger, you should purchase a boarding ticket for the child for the same trip, as well as a First class car ticket.
- Can I make purchases with Meitetsu μ's Points?

By registering (Points linking) a Meitetsu μ's ID or manaca ID registered as a member in the Meitetsu μ's Points Service from the Meitetsu Web Reservation Service screen, you can use your Meitetsu μ's Points to purchase Web first class car tickets. However, you can use Points to pay for tickets in full only.
Board the Train
- How should I board the train?

Please board the train and sit in the seat specified on the Web first class car ticket that you purchased. If a train attendant wishes to see your ticket, display your purchase information on a smartphone screen etc., and show it to the train attendant.
- Can I board the train with a printout of my computer screen displaying the purchase information?

- What happens if I cannot display my purchase information when the train attendant asks because my smartphone is broken, out of battery, etc.?

If the train attendant cannot check your purchase information, you must purchase a ticket again.
- Another passenger is sitting in my reserved seat. What should I do?

If you cannot resolve the issue with the other passenger by comparing your First class car tickets, speak to one of the conductors.
- Can I board a train prior to the one for which I bought a Web first class car ticket, using that first class car ticket?

No, you cannot. To board a prior first class car, change the reservation up until one minute prior to the scheduled departure of the train you wish to board. If you have already changed the reservation twice, you can refund the ticket and purchase a new one, although a service charge will apply. Purchasing a first class ticket on board the train incurs a fee of 500 yen. If all the seats are occupied, you will have to stand.
If you do not use the First class car ticket that you purchased, you can change the reservation to a return train or a train departing the next day or later, etc. (up to two times without charge), or if you no longer need the ticket, you can apply for a refund (service charges apply), up until one minute prior to the scheduled departure of your train.
- I heard an announcement that the train for which I purchased a First class car ticket is delayed, and a different express train will arrive at my destination earlier. What should I do?

If you decide to board the express train and not use the Web first class car ticket that you purchased, you can change the reservation to a return train or a train departing the next day or later, etc. (up to two times without charge), or if you no longer need the ticket, you can apply for a refund (service charges apply), up until one minute prior to the scheduled departure of your train.
Change or Refund
- Can I change my purchased seat?

Yes, you can. Members can change their purchased seat from "Check, Change, or Refund Your Purchase" on the My Page and guest users can change their purchased seat from "Check, Change, or Refund Your Purchase" on the Top Menu.
- Is there a service charge if I want to make changes to my purchase?

There is no service charge, the first 2 times you change your date of travel, travel zone, or seat.
- How many minutes before the train departure time is the latest possible time to make a travel change?

You can change a ticket up until 1 minute before the train departure time displayed on the timetable.
Transfer μ-tickets can be changed up until one minute prior to the departure time of the first train.
- Can I change to a train with a different fee?

You can change your train twice before service charges are applied. If you change from a train purchased at the off-peak discount price (300 yen) to a train at the regular price (450 yen), the difference (150 yen) will be deducted. If you change from a train purchased at the regular price to a train at the off-peak discount price, the difference will be refunded. If you purchased the original ticket with a credit card, the difference will be refunded to your credit card. If you purchased it with Points, the Points will be refunded. However, the ticket will not be able to be changed if you have canceled your Meitetsu μ's Points Service membership.
- Can I change the second train of a transfer μ-ticket after boarding the first train?

Trains can be changed up until one minute prior to the train departing the boarding station (or up until one minute prior to the departure of the first train for a transfer μ-ticket).
- Can I change only one train of a ticket purchased for 10 days?

Yes, you can. Click the "Check, Change, or Refund Your Purchase" button on your member page and select the purchase to change.
- Why are all 10 days recalculated when I change only one train of a ticket purchased for 10 days to a train with a different fee?

When making a purchase for multiple days, the fee is paid for the corresponding number of days all at once. If you change only one train of a ticket purchased for 10 days to a train with a different fee, the entire payment is redone, with the difference deducted if you change to a train with a higher fee or refunded if you change to a train with a lower fee.
- When is the latest possible time to receive a refund?

You can receive a refund up until one minute before the train departure time displayed on the timetable (for a transfer μ-ticket, you can receive a refund up until one minute prior to the departure time of the first train).
- How much is the refund service charge?

The fee for doing so is 220 yen per ticket (for a transfer μ-ticket, the first train and second train count as one ticket together).
- Is it possible to receive a refund when I make a purchase with Meitetsu μ's Points?

Yes, you can. The Points will be returned in full, and the refund service charge will be deducted from your credit card. However, you will not be able to be receive a refund if you have canceled your Meitetsu μ's Points Service membership.
- Is it possible to change trains or receive a refund when I purchase multiple tickets?

You can change trains or receive a refund on a per-ticket basis. A service charge applies to all refunds.
- What should I do if I the train goes out of service?

We will process a refund, so there is no need for you to do anything. The fee that you paid will be returned to you the following day or after to the credit card you used to make your purchase. No service charge will be applied. For tickets purchased using Points, the Points will be refunded. After the refund, we will send an e-mail in the following days notifying you of our check results. Please note that when you apply for a refund on your own initiative before the scheduled departure of the train, service charges will apply.
- A Nagoya Railroad train delay meant that I was unable to board my scheduled train. Can I apply for a refund?

- Can a Web first class car ticket that I purchased via the Meitetsu Web Reservation Service be changed or refunded at the ticket window?

No, it cannot be changed or refunded at the ticket window. Changes to the ticket or a refund is something that must be done via the customer operating their own smartphone, etc.
- Transportation delays not involving a Nagoya Railroad train meant that I was unable to board the train for which I had a First class car ticket. Can I apply for a refund?

If you miss the train due to delays in other transportation services not operated by Nagoya Railroad (air flight/other railroads/buses, etc.) it is not possible to apply for a refund after the scheduled departure time. Up until one minute prior to the scheduled departure of your train, you can change the reservation to a return train or a train departing the next day or later, etc. (up to two times without charge), or if you no longer need the ticket, you can apply for a refund (service charges apply).
- Under what circumstances do I receive a refund for a First class car ticket?

When either of the following conditions apply, Nagoya Railroad shall initiate refund procedures (free of charge), and credit the refund amount to the purchasing credit card. (For tickets purchased using Points, the Points will be refunded.)
(1) When the scheduled train suspends operation, or stops operating at a station on the route, and so prevents you from traveling the ticketed route, in whole or in part. However, if you apply for a refund on your own initiative prior to Nagoya Railroad's decision to suspend service, services charges will apply. These charges will not be refunded.
(2) When the scheduled train is delayed one hour or more.
- Delays of less than 60 minutes are not eligible for refunds.
- For a transfer μ-ticket, a refund is possible if either the first train or second train meets either of the above conditions.
- Can I refund only one day of a ticket purchased for 10 days?

Yes, you can. Click the "Check, Change, or Refund Your Purchase" button on your member page and select the purchase to refund. A service charge applies to all refunds.
- I purchased a ticket for observatory seating, but a train without observatory seating arrived. Can I apply for a refund?

The type of train is subject to change according to circumstances, as indicated on the "Select a train" screen when purchasing a first class car ticket. In this case, a refund is not possible. Please use the assigned seat.
Cancel Membership
- I want to cancel my Meitetsu Web Reservation Service membership. What should I do?

Cancel your membership from the My Page. However, if you have an online First Class Car Ticket or another ticket that you have not yet used, you may not cancel your membership. If you cancel your membership after applying for a refund, you will not be able to receive the refund.
- Can I cancel my membership via phone, mail, or ticket window?

Other questions
- Can Meitetsu Web Reservation Service be used on all smartphones?

- Can a receipt be issued?
